Climate

The West Coast weather is a frequent topic of conversation among locals and visitors alike.  The average annual rainfall is 2575 mm, and while this is considerable compared to the rest of the country,  it’s usually in high-density downpours and the Coast certainly wouldn’t want to be without it.  We wouldn’t then be able to enjoy the beautiful unspoiled rainforest and magnificent glaciers of this region.

The average West Coast temperature ranges from 12.5 C in winter and 19.5 C in summer and the annual sunshine hours are 1845, which means the climate here is temperate and actually quite sunny.  One thing’s for sure, whether it’s a gloriously sunny day or raining cats and dogs, life on the West Coast carries on usual.
